New Features:

1. Announcing Keyboard mode: You can now choose to solve puzzles in keyboard mode, meaning that you select which subword to work on using a simulated keyboard, similar in spirit to how Wordle works. This is still somewhat experimental, and it may be more difficult than the legacy mode of play. You can which mode to play on a case-by-case basis, or select a default in your profile preference update form.
2. New Points Calculation:. You are now only allowed to try a puzzle 3 times per day, and only the points achieved on the first try will be counted. I.e., you will be granted credit for 3 attempts but only the score on the first attempt will be recorded.
3. The user profile and messaging system have been updated. The profile has a three column dashboard feel, while the messaging system includes both Inbox and Sent box. Conversations are now supported.
4. Now you get extra bonus points for playing at a higher play preference level. 5% bonus for playing at level 1 (two letter hints) and 10% for level 2 (one letter hint). Default is level 0 for which there is no bonus.
5. New Analytics Dashboard! We've added a brand new Analytics Overview page to the site. You can now explore puzzle attempts by language and view a monthly time series graph showing how puzzle activity evolves over time. This is part of our ongoing effort to provide better insights into user engagement and puzzle popularity across languages. Check it out and let us know what you'd like to see next!
6. Wordwalk / Spaghettispeller Crypto Tokens! We are in the process of developing the tokenomics and functional requirements for converting Wordwalk points into a custom crypto token. A white paper is under development, but you can read about some of the considerations in a series of blog posts at our Cognotrend website. There is also a tutorial there on crypto token tokenomics.
7. New feature: Play Level Preference: Now you select one of three levels of play on your profile page. At level 0, three of the rootwords letters will be given at the start to make it easier. At level 1, only two letters. At level 2, just the starting letter of the rootword will be given. This should make it easier for folks to get a handle on how to solve the puzzles.

9. On your profile page, you will now see a link to view a histogram of your puzzle attempts by language.

11. Translation Feature! Now you can get a translation of your rootword after you find it. When the rootword is displayed after you correctly guess it, it is now displayed as a hyperlink. Simply click on it and a new tab will appear with a form to translate the rootword. Simply select to the target language to translate it to and hit the button. This will take you to Google Translate for the translation.

Bug Fixes:

1. Changed points algorithm: Now you don't get any rewards for correct subword guessing, or for letters and arrows. Instead, you get the max points possible if you correctly guess the rootword without making any errors. If you make any errors, however, 25 points are subtracted for each incorrectly guessed subword. In this way, you do not have to guess all the subwords; only the rootword counts. So, if you can guess the rootword by just looking at the puzzle and the the list of subwords -- but without guessing any of the subwords -- you will get max points and a short time.
