Wordwalk Instructions, English, USA

  1. Pick a subword to be worked on. Note the letter it begins with. Then tap/click on a node (an ellipse for a consonant, a diamond for a vowel) in the graph where you think the letter belongs. (It may or may not blank.)
Continue in this way until you've spelled out the subword. Then proceed to the next subword until all the subwords have been entered.
  2. You can try to guess the hidden rootword at any time. You don't have to guess all the subwords, although it is generally very helpful to do so.
The rootword begins with letter whose bubble in the graph has a thick boundary.
  3. Your final score is the maximum possible points (which depends on the complexity of the puzzle) minus 25 times the number of incorrect guesses. Every time you get a red node (indicating incorrect guess), 25 penalty points are charged.
  4. Be sure to submit your score so that it is recorded and added to your total lifetime score. This will determine where you stand on the leaderboards. If you don't hit the buttom to submit your score, it won't be recorded or added to your cumulative score.
